Ironing...

I finally had the opportunity to buy a bottle of Mrs. Meyer's Ironing Spray (in Geranium) a few weeks ago. What a pleasure to work with! Using that spray makes ironing a joy rather than the torture it was previously!

Here's a question for you though: would you use an obviously flowery scented spray on your husband's clothing? I've only been using it on my clothes, the baby's clothes, and our linens.

Hmm...I think I would ask his opinion on the scent first. It's not too different from using scented detergent or fabric softener, right? I wouldn't think twice about that. I don't think Geranium is too "girly" either. Lilac or rose maybe!

I agree with Courtney - ask first. I remember I went to a home party where they suggested spraying lavendar in your bed, and I asked, "are you married?" I'm not quite sure my Dh would like to sleep in lavendar.

We just use water to iron.

my husband is so anti girly that he'd probably not like it but it just depends on the guy. some guys may not even notice it. ;)
btw, i love your blog so much. it inspires me everyday!

I think lavendar is suitable for men and many mens toiletries are based around lavendar. I totally agree that a scented spray changes ironing into a more enjoyable activity. Does your husband ever notice or comment on the smell of your laundry...how long does it last anyway?
I keep a lavendar bag under my pillow, and sometimes draw my husband a bath scented with lavendar to relax him and ease pain. I would say go for it! Gill;)
