A Tour of Our Home...

The next eleven or so posts are pictures taken this morning of our home. With the exception of my husband's office (which he was working in while I was taking pictures), all the rooms of our home are represented. If you have any questions about the pictures, I would be happy to answer them.
I hope that you enjoy seeing our home!

Thank you,

I loved seeing the pictures!

It always makes me feel I know people better when I "see" how they decorate and where they live. :)

Emma, your home is beautiful. Love the way it looks and how you decorate. I do have one question - is it always that neat??? If so, would you come over and help me set up my new apartment so I can have a head start on keeping it like that????

I've been hanging around quietly working at home on a Committment to Loveliness. Thanks for that - it's helped more than you know.

oooooh--such a pretty wreath--is that real stuff --liked dried things, or silk things or what?

Hi Sara!

No, our home isn't always this neat. It was kind of funny actually... I would tidy a room, take pictures of it and move on to the next room. Once I left each room, my little one would pretty much take apart whatever I had just tidied! I try to pick things up three times a day (once in the morning, once in the afternoon, and once in the evening). If I do that, things look reasonable good and I don't feel like I am constantly picking up all day long!

Hello Nanny Kim!

The wreath is made of artificial berries and leaves, but they seem to be more fabric or paper than plastic. I bought it last year after autumn was over and it went on sale (50% off!).

Wow, I feel seriously depressed looking at all the lovely pictures of your home! What a bright, airy place! I feel like I live in a cave so much of the time! There's something to be said for newer houses, that's for use! At the very least, maybe this will motivate me to get moving on some of my house goals!

I do like your decorating style! I'm more of a family picture and books type of gal. Guess I shouldn't complain about the "cave effect" since old photos and musty books pretty much cause that! :-p

We need to get bookcases for our boxes of books that are still being stored. We literally have two small cases in Fr. John's office, one in the front room, and the little one in the kitchen. We could easily fill double or triple that amount! I am constantly weeding out ones that we don't read as much and trading them for others.
